Welcome to the PreGel Professional Training Center, a world-class training facility dedicated to blending your passion with our education.  From theory to application to artistry our program truly offers an unparalleled educational experience focused on building a culinary and business foundation in authentic Italian gelato, sorbetto, semifreddo, frozen yogurt, pastries and beyond.

Our Legacy

When PreGel opened its North American office in 2002, our president and CEO, Marco Casol immediately recognized the fundamental need to include training as an integral part of our company's service. As he traveled across the country, he became very aware that the American market had limited exposure to authentic, artisan Italian desserts.  The need for education was immense and it quickly became PreGel AMERCIA's legacy to not only provide the highest quality ingredients to the U.S. market but to also educate the American public.

Since its inception, the Professional Training Center has trained thousands of students and the growth to date has been tremendous. In 2008, we relocated our company to a new facility, fully-equipped with a new state-of-the-art Training Center to meet the growing needs of our students and prospective students. The Training Center features two classrooms complete with full audio and visual experience for lecture purposes, in addition to technical training stations and a full spectrum of gelato batch freezers, hot process machines, pastry ovens and display cases representing a wide array of unparalleled equipment found in the industry. Our legacy continues to grow and provide a solid education for students seeking to fulfill their passion.  

Our Goals

At the PreGel Professional Training Center, we believe that education is the key to success. Our programs are specifically designed to provide our students with all the tools necessary to be successful in the specialty dessert business. Our students are guaranteed to leave the Center with a wide-range of knowledge, confidence and continued support from our school.

Our goal is to also provide our programs free of charge. We believe that a price should not be placed on education and that passionate individuals should always be able to pursue further learning experiences. Our ability to provide our programs free of charge has absolutely no effect on the quality of our Training Center. In fact, it allows us to strive above and beyond to ensure that we are always providing the top instruction in the country.

Our Program

Our classes are designed for beginners and experienced students alike. We offer an Introductory Class, Advanced Class, Master Class and feature various Special Classes. The curriculums for all of our programs include both classroom learning and hands-on instruction. The program of studies covers theory, business planning, production, business and marketing strategies, creative recipe and decorative ideas, and offers liaisons with equipment companies.

Our Introductory Classes stress the core concepts of classic Italian desserts produced with our products and give a broad understanding of the business. Advanced and Master classes expand on those core concepts and are designed for students looking to master their skills and knowledge.  Various special classes are offered throughout the year to provide more in depth knowledge on specific subjects that are only touched upon in the Introductory and Advanced classes. Some of these special classes include Frozen Yogurt, Coffee & Gelato and a variety of other classes highlighting frozen desserts and pastry items in diverse applications.

Success

Empowering each of our students to find success is the ultimate goal of the PreGel Professional Training Center, and that goes well beyond classroom instruction. We believe in supporting our students throughout every stage of their careers. While building the culinary and business foundations for our students starts with our training, we also believe that reinforcements are needed as their endeavors grow. We encourage all of our students to continually use us as a resource.
