When PreGel opened our North American office in 2002, our President and CEO Marco Casol immediately recognized the fundamental need to include training as an integral part of our company's service. As he traveled across the country, he became very aware that the American market had limited exposure to authentic, artisanal Italian desserts. The need for education was immense and it quickly became PreGel AMERICA's legacy to not only provide the highest quality ingredients to the U.S. market, but to also educate the American public.
Since its inception, the Professional Training Center has trained thousands of students and the growth to date has been tremendous. In 2008, we relocated our company to a new facility, fully-equipped with a new state-of-the-art Training Center to meet the growing needs of our students and prospective students. The Training Center features two classrooms complete with a full audio and visual experience for lecture purposes, in addition to technical training stations and a full spectrum of gelato batch freezers, Hot and Cold Process machines, pastry ovens and display cases representing a wide array of unparalleled equipment found in the industry. Our legacy continues to grow and provide a solid education for students seeking to fulfill their passion.
At the PreGel Professional Training Center, we believe that education is the key to success. Our programs are specifically designed to provide our students with all the tools necessary to be successful in the specialty dessert business. Our students are guaranteed to leave the Center with a wide range of knowledge, confidence and continued support from our school.
Our classes are designed for beginners and experienced students alike who are truly seeking a culinary career in specialty desserts. We offer a Gelato Class, Tenero (Soft Serve) Class and feature various Pastry and Specialty Frozen Dessert Classes. The curriculums for all of our programs include both classroom learning and hands-on instruction. These programs cover theory, business planning, production, business and marketing strategies, creative recipes and decorative ideas, and offer liaisons with equipment companies.
Our Gelato Class stresses the core concepts of classic Italian desserts produced with our products and gives a broad understanding of the business. Our Pastry and Specialty Frozen Dessert Classes highlight frozen desserts and pastries in many diverse applications. Tenero (Soft Serve) Classes cover the many flavors and processes for producing frozen yogurt, and soft serve gelato and sorbetto.
Empowering each of our students to find success is the ultimate goal of the PreGel Professional Training Center and that goes well beyond classroom instruction. We believe in supporting our students throughout every stage of their careers. While building the culinary and business foundations for our students starts with our training, we also believe that reinforcements are needed as their endeavors grow.
